My first model boat was moonglow, a 36inch cabin cruiser, by vic smeed. this was built in 1981. moonglow now lives on a shelf in my garage, along with 2 starlet model yachts , by vic smeed.. There was, and is, also a plans service, called for many years "the aeromodeller and model maker/model boats plans service". each new plan added to the range was announced in the magazine by an article accompanied by a small-scale reproduction of the plan.. Model boat links > model boat plans but what i find more astonishing is i've got about 10 plans from the old model boats plans handbook when they were under the argus, mapp banner before being bought out by the hobbystore and they no longer have these plans in their library and even a few years ago they were asking modellers to let them.
